Sewing: 501 Quilt Blocks Week 17

So much for my one a week should be manageable.

This weeks block is titled: Untitled 2. As imaginative as I am.

Yes, I am a little out of order. I got to week 17 and couldn't figure out how to create the block, so I skipped past a couple while I worked out my own template instead.

Let's just say that lots of little fiddly blocks will end up in a pretty crappy block once it is all put together.

I'm slightly embarrassed to post this block. But it's done so I can move on.

Scrapbooking: Smile

I thought I would join in over at the D-lish Scraps cybercrop (The Scrap Suite).

The challenge was to 'use journal spots/tags in place of patterned paper on your project, with the added element of paint to be included also.'

I have hoarded journal booklets for years so I finally had a good reason to use some.

Oops! Off to be published! :)

Not sure I like the paint, but meh, it's done now.

Project Life: April Page 1

I've finally gotten back into my Project Life album and well, I'm just over a while year behind.

I'm sure I'll catch up (in retirement).

And because I've nothing better to do than listen to myself talk, I even made a process video. I know, you're rapt about spending 15 minutes of your life watching me.

Scrapbooking: Project Life Style

And now for the last layout I have neglected to share.

Back in February I hosted a retreat at Kiah Ridge. It was awesome fun and the best bunch of ladies attended. I can't wait to go again next year!

Anyway, Julie from Scrap of Your Life gave me a challenge to use project life cards on a 12x12 layout.

I wanted to create a grid layout based on a Project Life page. This is what I came up with:

I used my awesome CTMH sewing guide ruler thing to poke all the holes into the background and then I just sewed the 'pockets'.

This will slot straight into my project life album. I may even do just a normal layout on the other side. We shall see.

Scrapbooking: Craft

This is the second unshared layout.

This layout is of Amy this time, doing some craft stuff with me. Fun times.

It was created for the D-lish Scraps March inspiration board.

Yep, those are old as the hills Making Memories alphas. I have hoarded them for what, 10 years or so? Ah my too good to use pile will never end.

Scrapbooking: Kate

Hmm, I have a couple of layouts that I haven't shared for some reason.

The first one is a layout that was for the December inspiration board over at D-lish Scraps.

I finally scrapped one of Kate's photos from her year 6 farewell. Just because she is in year 9 now doesn't mean a thing!

Oh goodness, where has the time gone...

Scrapbooking: D-lish April Inspiration Board

Now that I've remembered my email address to get into this blog, I guess I can start posting again! I'd like to say that I have plenty of content up my sleeve, but no.

I could not make the white background work, so I went for the dark blue. And truth be told, I really do not like the colour purple.

I hope you get the chance to play along this month! :)
