Scrapbooking: Don't eat the dirt!

My kids are going to love me when they are older for documenting all the cool stuff they did.

No. Seriously, they are!

I saw the June Inspiration Board over at D-lish Scraps and thought I would play along!

The board is stunning! And I've finally scrapped that photo that has been sitting in my photo box for the last year or so. Good times.

Scrapbooking: Note

Last weekend I went to Long Point scrapbooking retreat. It was awesome fun. I caught up with some great friends who I only see at these things. I had the best time away.

As is a customary challenge, we had one hour to complete a layout.

For those that have scrapped with me, know it takes me an hour to pick a photo. But every year I have done this challenge, I have always finished before time.

Who knew I could speed scrap?! Not me!

And I must say, I am loving the Project Life cards as journal spots. All the more reason to buy some more. Sssshh. I didn't say that.

Sewing: Oh my, what?!

This is a bit of an older story that I just want to capture.

Well, I entered it into the Hawkesbury Show.

And it won first place!

I was so excited, I couldn't contain my happy dancing. I only entered it on a whim as I was entering a layout (coincidentally the layout didn't even place second!)

What an awesome Mother's Day surprise!

Now I have to decide on what I am going to make to enter next year. It's in my head, but it will take me a lot longer than 8 days to make it!

Day to Day: The last two months.

I can't believe it's been 2 months since I posted here. Those two months went by really, really fast.

Back in February I got this little idea in my head that I would go back to uni, so I enrolled and then in March I started studying for a Bachelor degree in Business. I was going ok with it to begin with, but then I started to ramp up my study and unfortunately my craft and blog fell by the wayside.

And I'm ok with that because I think I did reasonably well for my first semester back.

Now we are on holidays between semesters, I have a lot of catching up to do...
