Stuck?! July Sketch.

I never used to use sketches, and for the most part, I still don't. But lately I have enjoyed the end result of a sketch. Here's another one.

There was something about it that I just really liked. I whipped this layout up on Friday night after a week away from home because of work. My palms were itching for some glue so I got to work! This is a bit of a 'use the scraps on the table' layout. Luckily the colours worked!

Well, that's that. Another layout scrapped and another memory preserved.

Last month I went to a scrapbooking retreat at Long Point. It's a budget retreat where you self cater etc. It's fantastic value and not too far from home. Sar from Scrapbook Savvy brings the shop along and I always manage to buy a heap of stuff I don't need, just really want!

There were a couple of challenges throughout the weekend. This layout was created for the sketch challenge, which was Savvy's June challenge.

It's little Luke, the day after his 1st birthday, which happened to be Australia Day 2005. We went out for a picnic. Gosh, it's hard to remember him ever being this little. This happy, yes, all the time, but not this little!

Today I am at home, resting, getting over my cold. Thinking that since the housework is almost finished, I might go and play with paper and glue.

Today I have a layout to share.

It's even titled Today. Because we all know I'm slightly unimaginative when it comes to titles.

I did promise some Project Life.

And here I am delivering.

Back here I shared my first project life spread. I was so excited to be starting this project this year. I ordered the product and then I had to wait months for it. What?! So then while I took photo and stuck them in, I wasn't into the whole PL thing at all. It all seemed a little boring to me.

Then. My first core kit arrive.

Project Life heaven.

Now I'm actually right into it and enjoying creating my little spreads.

Here's some of the first couple of weeks. They're still a little boring, but it's all good, because it's about the record keeping and memories.

Week 1

Week 2

 Week 3

 Week 4

Week 5

I've got more, but I think that's enough PL for one day. As boring as they are, they are done!

Sharing with Luke.

What? Another layout! I have been a bit crafty lately.

I wasn't too sure about the 'bloody' misting, but it seems to have turned out ok.

Well, we're off to get some photos printed and then go bowling. I'll have some PL spreads to share tomorrow (hopefully!).

Pit Stop.

A layout share. I created this one using mostly scraps I had lying around. I find myself doing that. The problem is making the layout look different enough from the first one!

This layout is from when myself and the kids drove to Melbourne for a holiday with my Dad, while Steve went to visit his family in NZ. If there was one place I had to stop, it was the Ettamogah Pub. I remember going there when I was little.

And some little details. Yes, I still dearly love my rolled flower die! And that cute little fabric button from TPC Studio (I'd never heard of them before either!).

Now, to clean this house then get back to some Project Life spreads! :)
