Easter Sunday.

From The Jarrett household to yours, I hope you had a fun, chocolate filled Easter Sunday! May another morsel of chocolate not pass my lips until next year. I've had enough to last me the next 364 days.

Sorry about the poor quality photo, the weather and DST was against me this morning!

But luckily we got to go hunting again at Nanny and Poppy's house with the Cousins! Can anyone say 'too much chocolate'?

Easter Hat Parade

This is only the second Easter Hat Parade that kids have been involved in. Poor Kate has never had the pleasure. Luke was in kindy when he got to participate in his parade.

This year it was Amy's turn. We collected the sticks and got to work on the hat decorating.

Needless to say, I wasn't very imaginative and just copied my design from Luke's.

To top off a fun parade, Amy won third prize in the raffle! And she actually shared her chocolate winnings!

And for a bit of nostaglia, here's a layout I whipped up last night, I know, it scared me too, to think I could scrap a layout in one night! It is of myself when I was in kindy in my very own easter Hat Parade! I'm the one in the red cardboard cylinder hat. Just in case you were wondering. ;)

Blue Bazaar? Surely not!

A couple of months ago I received an email and at first I thought it was a newsletter. I quickly skimmed through it. Not really taking it in. Until I see the last line. Wait. What? Surely it's a mistake? Surely she can't mean me. Apparently she does! I had been granted the most fantastic opportunity. I had been asked to complete a few kits throughout the year for Blue Bazaar.

When I first found out about online shopping and scrapbook stores, BB was one of my favourite places to hang out at. They always had awesome new stock and I met many friends around the forum. So you can imagine my absolute surprise.

My first kit was released in January. They are still available if you would like it, just check it out here.

My first layout is Where are we? I must admit, I was a bit shaky creating this, I wasn't sure what style I should go with, how much technique I should include. Basically, I was quite nervous!

Then I got on a roll and felt much more comfortable when creating Cool.

Then the next layout, My Girl, took me ages to complete. I agonised over the silliest of things, where was I going to place those flowers? Horizontally, vertically? In the end, I went with just splashing them across and up. Umm, errr, diagonally even.

Next is some stripes. I adore stripes.

And lastly, Home. My man and me.

Now, one thing from this kit that I thought was the absolute bees knees: the gold polka dot vellum. Yessum. That there is one gorgeous piece of paper, or vellum, or whatever you call it.

Stay tuned for my March release. :)

I'm sure I had something interesting to say?

So, let's pick up where I left off.
2013 New Years Resolutions.
I set them. I started to work towards them. I realised that life's too short, so to hell with resolutions! I'm just going to enjoy life one day at a time.

So since I last posted, this little guy turned 9:

This little girl started kindergarten:
Luke started year 4 and Kate started high school:

This little girl turned 12:

Sarah and I went on a bushwalk at Wentworth Falls:

And finally here's Week 1 of my Project Life:
Just ignore most of those resolutions written there. ;)
And I have more, but that will do for now. Don't want to scare you off, from coming back.
