Sometimes the story is the most important! After all, it's the story that will really matter years down the road. ;)
hi Beth! Capture them at 'work'. I like to set up an activity that they will enjoy and be focused in(so as to keep them there a while while I snap away) Things that work for us are painting, playdough, pouring and filling with an assortment of pasta shells, soup mix, lentils etc, drawing with your finger in a tray of salt, bubble blowing and our favourite, water play-I fill up the baby bath. I take LOTS of photos to get the one or two good ones. I get down at their level. If I want them to look at me I have a conversation about their work or ask a question and they'll often look up. To take smiling pics my best chance is putting Lulu on the swing or slide-you have to be fast tho' but some of my favourite shots are smiling and laughing on the slide or swing. Hope this helps, if not you'll have fun playing:)
zoom lens LOL! she looks cute anyway! good luck with your masters Beth!
