Scrapbooking: Loud

A while ago Sarah and myself saw a call for envelopes in Scrapbook Creations ages ago and thought it would be an interesting twist on creating a layout. Don't get me wrong, I am certainly not a 'scrap for a call' type of girl. I just thought this would kind of be fun. Fun it was once we finally got our envelopes! And look at those old school picture hangers. I love using old crap! :D

And it turns out that our hubby's lived in the same street and used to be friends. Small world, huh?

Scrapbooking: 3 Months

So, this last week has been very similar to all the ones previous to it. My life never changes much. For that I am thankful. Although, I did go and see Luke perform at his assembly. They did a dance to a funky Humpty Dumpty song. Pretty cool, I must say.

I have also been scrapping. Twice this week, and both times I walked away with a layout done, which for me is great as I am a bit slow when it comes to scrapping.

This here one is for the Apple Blossom Studio dt. I just adore their stamps and I love using them. I even managed to squeeze three onto this layout. Ah my little girl, where does the time go?

The next layout was one that I had been thinking about for a couple of weeks now. My friend Sarah and I thought that aqua and red would be a great colour combo. Yep. The colours worked so well together and I love the layout I created and I finally scrapped some of those slip and slide photos!

Ohhh out for publication! Yippee! :)

Scrapbooking: Kaisercraft

Some layouts! These layouts use Kaisercraft's Up, Up and Away range and were my newsletter feature this month at Ideal Papercraft. As usual I set myself some mimi challenges for completing the layouts. One was to use the last 3 sketch challenges from Ideal and the other was to use the same base cardstock for all three layouts.

Using the August sketch:

Using the July sketch:

Using the June sketch:

Yesterday I went to my niece's 1st birthday! I had a fantastic time catching up with family and friends. My sister's besties, Barb, made the cake. She lives in Orange NSW if anyone lives near there and wants a cake made. ;)

So, my Scrapbooking Memories Master's entry went last wednesday. I spent more hours on my projects than I care to count, I have given it my absolute all. But now that it's gone, I am at peace. I no longer have to look at it and worry that it's looks ok. I know longer feel the need to tweak it every time I walk past it. It's now out of my hands. And while I have written about it here, I feel no excitement. I am not allowing myself. No expectations = No disappointments. And I feel good about that.

Finally some scrapping I can share. Here is my layout for this month's Aussie ScrapJack. It's a bit simple, a bit straight, but I really wanted to get the story down. Anyways, make sure you check out the new Jacks!

Proof that even when I try to bribe her with chocolate, she still wont sit still for me.

Any tips for photographing a almost 3 year old?

Monday, August 2, 2010

Well, it's my last night before I go back to work tomorrow. 4 weeks have gone very fast. In that time I have done very little of what I wanted to get done craft wise. That's ok though as I have just enjoyed relaxing and well, doing sweet f.a. to be honest. Back to reality I guess.

And, nup, still no scrapping I can share. I am almost finished my Master's entry. So far I have completed my single and double layouts and I am still working on my BTP. I think I might repaint it as I don't like the teal colour I painted it, I am thinking brown. Brown really does go with everything.

Before I go, I have a photo of Steve. Go karting. You know, I was very apprehensive about him starting in this sport, but I will admit, when he was out on the track I wasn't as fearful as I thought I was going to be. That's a good thing, right?

It's not a great photo, but he was going much faster than I thought he would, so I have a lot of shots of him either zooming in to or out of the frame. Maybe next time I will get a better photo?
