A card I made for a card swap over at TSE. No peeking Jaimee. LOL. You know, for someone who never liked making cards, I sure am enjoying this card swap!

I seriously need to clean up my scrapbooking area. It's a mess. And I have been on a buying binge of late. Ssshh. Don't tell Steve. It wouldn't be so bad if I actually scrapped more to use it up. I guess I should be called a collector instead of a scrapbooker. Sigh.

Here are some layouts from The Scrapbook Establishments newsletter I did this last week. Lucky me got to use the new Lime Rickey range! You know, I actually struggled doing these layouts. I think because I have been using a lot of kraft and pale colours of late, that when I went to use the brights I was a little overwhelmed. It's obvious. Indeed.

This one was my take on the sketch in the latest Basic Grey newsletter:

Boy was I struggling big time. Just when I gave up trying, I chucked this layout together in about an hour. Which is probably a record for me because it takes me so long to scrapbook:

I have been busy. Scrapping actually. Since the last layout I posted on my blog, I have scrapped 6 layouts. Impressive for me, but they were on deadlines so I had no choice really. Here is one I can share for a little competition happening over at Scrap Therapy.

A layout of Amy. I had this monster chip character for ages but I never thought to colour it in pink and use it on a girls layout! I just got my trusty zig out and used the fat end because I originally tried my hand at flocking, but I failed miserably. Lucky there are two sides. ;)

My Mother's Day breakfast in bed consisted of a warm cupcake and ice-cream.

The only thing that topped that was this conversation with Luke:

"Mum, I have one more thing for you."

"Ok, what is it?"

Throwing his arms around me. "A hug!"

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there! :)

So while on my way home from work this morning, I was listening to the radio and there was an ad for flowers, being so close to Mother's Day and all.

It said:

Delivery anywhere in Australia, New Zealand and EVEN Overseas.

So. Ummmm. Does this mean they have offically made New Zealand our 8th state?

Here's a photo just to keep this post looking bright and shiny.

It's of Kate running in her cross country. Don't be fooled. It's about the only time she actually ran. No, seriously, she went well for someone who doesn't do any sport. But boy, did she complain of having sore legs for 3 days afterwards.

Monkey see, monkey do. Yes, Amy saw the dog drink out of the bucket. I really have nothing more to add to that.

Isn't how funny how when you become a parent, that your needs and wants suddenly cease to exist?

Well, today I went on a much needed shopping expedition.

So a pair of boots, jeans and 5 tops later, I think I am set for winter.

Except I have to take the jeans back as they give me terrible muffin top.

Or I could embark on an exercise journey.

*rolls eyes*

It will just be easier to exchange them I think.

Hmmm. May already.

Well, that means Journal It's first challenge is up on the blog.

Here is my take on the prompt, When I was Little:
